Owner & CEO

Shellie Braxton

Hi, I’m Shellie, owner of Modern Health Pharmacy. My path to pharmacy ownership started in accounting, but I found my passion in healthcare and in helping people through personalized medicine.

Modern Health Pharmacy has served the community since the 1980s, and I had the honor of continuing that legacy in 2022.

Today, I’m committed to offering compounded medications, professional-grade supplements, and personalized wellness solutions that help patients take control of their health. As a member of The Rx Grid, I stay connected to innovation so we can provide the best care possible.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my husband, our blended family of nine children, and three grandchildren. We love traveling, and I’ve recently gotten into hiking.

I’m grateful to serve Madison, Wisconsin, and I look forward to helping you on your health journey.

Mary Johnson

Hi, my name is Mary, and I am the Pharmacist-In-Charge at Modern Health Pharmacy.

I have been with the company since 2021 and transitioned to this role in 2023.

I graduated from the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy in 2015.

I previously worked in retail
community pharmacy before joining the team at Modern Health Pharmacy.

I enjoy collaborating with patients to find custom medication solutions for their health needs.

I am always excited to create new formulations to help patients get on track to improved
health.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family (husband, daughter, and son).

We love going to water parks and camping. I also like to read and bake lots of sweets!
